Rather than aiming to memorize concepts, it is equally important to understand their meaning as well so you are better prepared to answer the questions you encounter on the exam. Below are a few sample questions:
Those enrolled in our course get access to practice tests for additional preparation, which can be found Here
In addition to preparing for the content of the exam, it's also important to follow all the requirements that must be completed prior to your exam, whether it is taking place in person or Online. Taking the time to follow all instructions and directions will ensure a smooth exam experience, and will give you a sense of what to expect in terms of the exam writing experience. For example, the provincial exam attempt bundled with our course requires use of the Chrome web browser, a webcam, microphone and reliable internet connection.
Giving yourself plenty of time to study rather than cramming the content, as well as leaving plenty of time on the day of the exam will help boost your success. For an online exam, getting set up well in advance of the exam time, and arriving early for in person exams ensures a smooth process. The province does not allow late admittance into the live proctoring of online exams. Joining the proctoring late will result in having to reschedule your exam which typically involves a rescheduling fee. Keeping your eyes on the screen during an online exam is also crucial, as looking away can be considered by the proctor as cheating.
The passing grade for the exam is 80%. Upon successful completion, you will be able to proceed to the License Application Process, getting you one step closer to a rewarding career as a security guard in Alberta.
